CiviCure Provides Enchanted Evening

August 1, 2014 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

The weather was ideal Saturday, July 26, for the first revitalized CiviCure fundraising event at the Hoosac School campus. The Enchanted Evening began with drinks and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn of the Tibbits Mansion, with violin music by Julia Baker. The enjoyable festive atmosphere continued as concert-goers strolled to the performing arts theater to enjoy the spectacular performance of arias and show tunes by talented opera singers, bass Oren Gradus and lyric soprano Mariona Pallach, accompanied on piano by the equally talented Jennifer Peterson. The small theater was filled and made an intimate setting for the performers who have graced stages in huge opera houses worldwide.

The evening ended in the Hoosac School dining hall with dessert and coffee and a chance for the appreciative audience to talk with the artists.

CiviCure Board Member and Treasurer Barbara Sussman said everyone was thrilled with the event, which was extremely successful. She added that almost everything for the evening was donated, from the spectacular performances to the delicious foodstuffs and drinks.

The Board looks forward to hosting other events in the future.
