Getting someone to talk about repairs to the Hoosick Falls Country Club club house after the July 14 fire in the kitchen is like pulling teeth. Undoubtedly that is because the Board is still dealing with the insurance company and with repair bids. No one is willing to comment. What is obvious is that the kitchen is gutted and there is a giant hole in the club house ceiling.
[private]However, MCS Remediation has been in and cleaned up the building. The bar is open and golfers can come in to a have a drink and use the building after their rounds.
Chef Jeff Babson has only said that the Club will still have all its scheduled golf tournaments. Cooking for those events is mainly done outside. He also said they are honoring any events that had been booked before the fire.
No one will comment on when the kitchen repairs will take place or if the small kitchen will be expanded. Nor will anyone comment on when the restaurant will again be open to the public.
