A motorcyclist was injured Monday afternoon 200 yards west of the Vermont border on Route 67 in Walloomsac Monday afternoon. A car the cyclist was following quickly slowed in front of him, and the cyclist had to veer off the side of the road, where he came in contact with the galvanized box steel guard rail. [private]The driver of the car said an animal ran across the road in front of the car. The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad transported the injured man to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Responding to the scene was the New York State Police, the North Hoosick Fire Department and the Bennington Rescue Squad.
Weirdness
On Wednesday emergency services answered a call reporting that a young woman had been run over by a truck. After being in the Rescue Squad ambulance the woman decided she was okay, so they let her out. Then they loaded the woman’s mother into the ambulance because she was so drunk she couldn’t stand up.
Authorities are looking for the driver of the truck.
