According to a release from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), the Hoosick Falls Route 22 River Street bridge is scheduled to be repaired starting in the fall of 2014. [private]The release to the Village states that, “Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the 2015 construction season. The project will include steel repairs, replacement of most of the bridge’s joints, some full-depth deck repairs, fascia repairs, and application of a waterproofing membrane with asphalt overlay. In order to provide a safe work area, it is anticipated that NYSDOT will reduce traffic to a single lane, alternating traffic with a temporary signal system. All properties in the vicinity of the bridge will remain accessible to residents and emergency responders while the work takes place. There will be no nighttime work.”
