BCS Boys Soccer Wrap Up

BCS 8                   Germantown  0

The Berlin boys varsity soccer team exploded for 8 goals to sink the clippers from Germantown 8 to 0. Berlin goal scorers were Zach Spaniol with 2 goals and 2 assists, Ryan Willis with 2 goals and a goal apiece from Carter Dawes, Matt Montero, Ryan Shumway and Kyle Burdick. Keel Krumenacker had 3 assists, and Ethan Mars had 1. Jackson Burhans and Colin Love combined for the shutout in goal with 5 saves.

BCS 1     Loudonville Christian 0

In an early season battle for first place the Mountaineer boys varsity soccer team battled with Loudonville Christian for 64 minutes in a scoreless game when Ryan Willis scored the game winning goal on an assist from Keel Krumenacker. Jackson Burhans made several key saves and Seiji Akera, Calvin Mars and Dan Bentley played a strong defensive game. Joe Sweener, Zach Spaniol and Kyle Burdick passed the ball extremely well in the midfield.

BCS 2                       Waterford 1

The boys varsity soccer team squeezed out a 2 to 1 win over Waterford. Ryan Willis scored the first Berlin goal at the start of the game to take the early lead. Seiji Akera made an outstanding save late in the first half to prevent Waterford from scoring.

Waterford tied the score early in the second half. Jackson Burhans came up with several saves on corner kicks from Waterford to keep the game tied. Then Keel Krumenacker scored the winning goal with 10 minutes left in the game on an assist from Ryan Shumway.
