BCS Boys Varsity Soccer Wins New Lebanon Tournament

The BCS Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated St. Joe’s of Pittsfield, MA, 3 to 1 in the New Lebanon Tournament. Keel Krumenacker, Matt Montero and Zach Spaniol scored a goal apiece. Ryan Willis and Ethan Mars each had an assist. Jackson Burhans had 10 saves in goal backed by the strong defensive play of Dan Bentley, Matt Rokjer, Seiji Akera and Calvin Mars.

Zach Spaniol scored on a direct kick with 6 minutes left in the game to give the Boys Varsity Soccer team a 2 to 1 come from behind win over Mt. Everett and the New Lebanon Tournament Championship. Keel Krumenacker scored the tying goal on an assist from Matt Montero in the second half. The defensive play of Matt Rokjer, Dan Bentley, Alex Gazelone and Calvin Mars was outstanding, allowing Jackson Burhans to make 13 saves in goal. Joe Sweener and Matt Moran played well defensively in the midfield, winning many loose balls.

BCS 7             Heatly 1

The BCS Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated an undermanned Heatly team 7 to 1. Zach Spaniol scored 3 goals and had 1 assist. Keel Krumenacker scored twice with 1 assist. Rounding out the goal scorers were Matt Montero and Ethan Mars with one goal each. Matt Rokjer, Dan Bentley and Kyle Burdick all had one assist.[/private]
