HFCS Girls Soccer Is Sectional #2 Seed

The Panther girls soccer team defeated Granville 8 – 0 last Friday when Jordyn Haynes scored three first half goals. Haynes was assisted by Angela Gonzalez, Taylor Mann and Rachel Pine. Gonzales, Pine and Heidi Bossoni also scored first half goals unassisted. Bossoni’s goal was her first varsity score.

Anna Wysocki, assisted by Rachel Pine, and Kolumbia Cook, on an assist from Ashley Foster, each scored second half goals. Jayde Tutunjian and Kelly Pine each had two saves in goal for the Panthers.

With the regular season now complete, the Ladies take their 14-1-1 overall, 13-0-1 league record into the Section II playoffs. On Friday, October 24, the Ladies will play the winner of Wednesday’s matchup between #15 Cobleskill and #18 Holy Names. The game will be held at Delurey Field in Hoosick. Game time is 3 pm. Undefeated 16 – 0 Schalmont is the #1 seed.
