Raiders Win Super Bowl, 27 – 7, Over Cambridge Cubs

October 31, 2014 By eastwickpress

by Steve Bradley

The Hoosick Falls Raiders brought another Super Bowl championship to Hoosick Falls last Sunday with a big crowd on hand and the cheerleaders rooting the team on. Jake Sparks led the way with three touchdowns as the undefeated Raiders won the league trophy.

The game was held at Greenwich High School. Everyone was thrilled, and the team and cheerleaders celebrated with blue and white frosted cupcakes. After the cupcake celebration, the team returned to Hoosick Falls and a parade, complete with fire trucks, sirens and honking horns, went through the Village.

The Raiders are made up of third and fourth-graders. This bodes very well for the time when Raiders morph into Panthers.
