Stephentown and New Lebanon Seniors gather at the Thomaston, CT, station waiting for the excursion train to Waterbury on the Naugautuck Railroad. The trip on October 14 featured the beautiful fall ride on the railroad to Waterbury and back, the highlight being the ascent on a steep grade up to the Thomaston Dam, constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1960 following the disastrous Connecticut flooding of 1955. Following the rail ride, the Seniors moved on to New Britain, CT, for a sumptuous Bavarian Octoberfest luncheon at the East Side Restaurant. (David Flint photo)
