On Thursday, November 20, at 7 pm the public is invited to kick off the holiday season with a reading of Inventing Scrooge by Carlo DeVito. The event will include a reading from the book and discussion with the author. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Refreshments will be served.

When Charles Dickens conceived of the story for A Christmas Carol on a train ride to Manchester in October 1843, little did he know that his “ghostly little book” would reinvent the way we keep Christmas. And while the timeless tale of redemption inspires us every year, Inventing Scrooge tells the story behind the story.
Carlo DeVito is a lifelong publishing executive with more than 20 years of experience. He has written more than 15 books, publishes a highly acclaimed wine blog and is owner of the Hudson-Chatham Winery.
