Duo Eamon will perform at the Berlin Library in a free concert on Sunday, November 16, from 3 to 5 pm.
Cassandra Cleghorn and Jeffrey “Eamon” Levine are Duo Eamon, performing traditional fiddle and guitar music of Ireland, New England and Québec. Playing together since 2008, the duo’s arrangements reflect their life long immersion in the harmonies and rhythms of classical, jazz and, above all, folk music. The interplay between these two consummate musicians is intimate, inviting, energizing.

Centered in the Berkshires, Duo Eamon perform throughout New England and beyond, at pubs, cafés, galleries, festivals, markets, and barn and house concerts. As poets Cleghorn and Levine travel widely throughout the U.S. and abroad and are always ready to perform their music in parallel bookings. High profile venues include the Fresh Grass festival ay Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA, and the Roots Cellar at the Calliope House at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.
Cassandra Cleghorn, fiddle, turned from her classical training ten years ago to immerse herself in the music of Ireland, New England and Québec. Constant session playing and study with monster fiddlers including David Boulanger, Eric Favreau and Kevin Burke has shaped her sound that combines a lyrical sweetness with rhythmic drive. Nothing makes Cleghorn happier than making the rosin dust fly as she breathes new life into an old tune.
A guitarist’s guitarist, Jeffrey Levine founded the Buffalo Guitar Workshop in the 1970s and has evolved his style ever since. He brings to Duo Eamon years of experience as a professional clarinetist on stages from the Troy Savings Bank to the Ravinia Festival in Illinois. Blending his classical training, his love of jazz and his passion for Celtic music, shaped by work with Québecois masters Guy Bouchard and Paul Marchand, Levine creates his trademark extraordinary voicings.
The Duo Eamon concert is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
