Grafton Council Race Too Close To Call

Just 5 Votes Separate Council Candidates

[private]The race for the Grafton Town Council seat vacated by the resignation of Marie Claus was too close to call. Ingrid Gundrum ended the night with a tally of 409 votes, and Eric Buckley had 404 votes. There are 29 absentee ballots and two affidavit ballots in this race, which will be opened at 10:30 on Friday morning. The Rensselaer County Board of Elections expects to name a winner by the end of the day on Friday.

In Grafton the incumbent Town Justices were re-elected. Rebecca Snyder-Greene received 481 votes, and Pierce Hoyt received 455 votes. Patrick Ivory received 319 votes, and Kenneth Bruno received 300.[/private]
