HF Football Players Garner Awards

Members of the HFCS football team were honored with Class C, North Division awards Tuesday.

Senior Mark Hackett, a defensive linebacker and offensive tight end, was named Player of the Year. Along with Hackett, senior Garrett Wright was named Offensive Player of the Year. John Hogan of Greenwich was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Other HFCS players recognized on the First Team Offense were running back Colby Davendonis, wide receivers Connor McCart and Alex Mendez, tackles Logan Hoyt and Pascal Wilkins and guard Shane Barss. Damon Dubois received the Place Kicker award.

Receiving First Team Defense awards were lineman Jake Bakaitis, linebacker Evan Hand and defensive back Colby Davendonis.

Wide receiver Remington Hickey was named to the Second Team Offensive squad, and defensive lineman Alex Hull was named to the Second Team Defensive team.
