Liberty Returns To Hoosick

November 14, 2014 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

At 3 pm on Veterans Day the Patriot Riders returned the Voice of a Vet’s Tribute Flag, Liberty, to Hoosick Falls where it was flown in Wood Park. [private]The flag had completed a journey through 11 states and flown at 26 Civil War sites where Hoosick men are buried. Patriot Riders from several states made sure the flag reached all its destinations. The next journey for the flag will be the South Pacific.

The goal of Voice of a Vet is to have the flag flown at every site around the world where a Hoosick resident is buried. Wednesday’s ceremony in Wood Park was very impressive and a tribute to the Patriot Riders and the Voice of a Vet project.
