The Petersburgh election featured three candidates running unopposed. All three were appointees who are now being elected to the position to which they had been appointed. [private]Deidra Michaels was elected as Town Clerk with 280 votes. She was appointed to the position in the spring of 2014 after Callie Crisp resigned and has now been elected to complete Crisp’s term.
Alan Webster and Neil Geary were both elected to the Town Board, after having served by appointment since the beginning of the year. There were two empty seats on the Board because David Alderman resigned from his seat on the Board in late October, too late to put it on the ballot for last year’s election, and Richard Snyder resigned from the Town Board late in the year because he was elected Town Justice in last year’s election. Alan Webster received 251 votes, and Neil Geary received 239 votes.[/private]
