The Section 2 Girls Soccer All Star Banquet was held at the Albany Mariott on Sunday, December 7. Among the honorees were several players from CHVL League Champion Berlin Central School. [private]Sophomore forward Jewel Pietrzak was awarded the CHVL league MVP honors. She finished the season with 38 goals and 13 assists. Junior midfielder Maggie Gordon (21 goals, 10 assists), senior midfielder Brittany Gilbert (8 goals) and senior goalkeeper Nicole Zlotnick (12 shutouts) were named to the CHVL First Team All Stars. Senior defender KC Gosse and junior defender Jordan Cahill were also honored for their excellent seasons on the CHVL Second team. Pietrzak and Gordon also received additional honors, as both were named Section 2 Class C All Stars and earned spots on the New York State Class C Fourth team, a particularly impressive accomplishment.
