Jeanette A. Sawtell

Hoosick Falls – Jeanette A. Sawtell, 86, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT.

ob-Jeanette SawhillBorn in Catskill, NY, on July 23, 1928, Jeanette was the daughter of Walter and Alama Ladd. She attended school and became an LPN working in the Catskill area. Jeanette married and settled in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and was past president of Dst. Hilda’s Guild. She lived at Hedges Lake and enjoyed every minute. Jeanette swam everyday, became a lifeguard and loved sharing her time there with family and friends.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Heather Harris and grandson Jimmy Baker of Lithia Springs, GA, her sons, Kevin McLucas of Hoosick Falls and Brian McLucas and wife Nancy of Greenwich, NY, her grandsons, John McLucas, Brian McLucas, Cody McLucas and William Lafreniere, her great-grandchildren, Kayleb and Kamryn Lafreniere, her good friend, Beverly Perry and cousin Dave Covey of Hedges Lake. Jeanette is pre-deceased by a brother, Warren Ladd, and a sister, Loraine Casey.

Funeral services were Monday, January 5, at 11 am from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There were no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Living & Rehabilitation. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY
