Lions At The HAYC3 Health And Fitness Expo

January 9, 2015 By eastwickpress

The Town of Hoosick Lions Club is honored to participate in the HAYC3 Health and Fitness Expo to be held at the HAYC3 Armory, 80 Church Street, Hoosick Falls, on Saturday, January 10, from 9 am to 1 pm.

This year the Town of Hoosick Lions Club is thrilled to have Kathryn Miklowitz, KidSight Outreach Specialist with the Northeast Association of the Blind at Albany, available to conduct eyesight screening for children ages 2 to 12. She will be screening children from 10 am to 1 pm at the HAYC3 Health and Fitness Expo.

Miklowitz has visited the area in the past to assess the vision of children. The results of her screening have detected eyesight issues at an early stage in time to achieve appropriate correction. The screening takes only a few minutes per child, is noninvasive, fun and is free of charge. Younger children may benefit the most since vision screening for those younger than five years of age often does not occur until they are older. A parental/guardian consent form is required.

Plan on coming to the HAYC3 Health and Fitness Expo and visiting Kathryn to have your child’s vision assessed and to learn more about Lionism!
