Dennis Bagley of Berlin debuted his 1948 Panhead Harley Davidson at the Jersey Show hosted by Harley Rendezvous Classic in Somerset New Jersey January 11 and 12, 2015. [private]Dennis purchased this bike almost 30 years ago and raffled it off for the Elks Vets in 2006 because he was no longer able to kick

start it. He was proud of what he did for the Elks. He was thrilled when it became available to him again. He held on to it waiting and praying that someone would create a system that would allow for an electric start. Through the years and several searches he came across an ad for Right Side Electric Start and contacted creator Russ Peterson of Nebraska to build him a custom electric start so he could again ride the best bike ever. During the summer the 1948 Panhead was rebuilt by Buzzy Teson Owner of JJ’s Cycle in Watervliet, NY and it’s electric start system added. Then in October he brought his baby back home again. The bike, like Dennis, is the only one of it’s kind on the planet. They were born the same year and with some adjustments here and there, they are on the road again.”
