Children’s Story Room At The Cheney Library Gets New Toys

February 26, 2015 By eastwickpress

Cheney Library in Hoosick Falls recently received money from the Weir estate for the Children’s Story Room. A sink/stove combination was bought; it was put together by John and Susan Hoffman; there are also pots and pans and food; a wooden barn with animals; a wooden train layout; some pull toys and puzzles for toddlers; and a set of cardboard blocks. H-CheneyStoryroomWe are really thankful for the generosity of the Weir estate and for the help in putting the toys together. The children are already enjoying them. The Children’s Story Room is a bright, cheerful and warm place to come on a cold winter day to play, read books, and color. Don’t forget our story time starts March 10 at 10 am in the Story Room. We will have lots of fun with stories, songs, crafts and snacks for preschool children and their caregivers.
