Greg Depaolis Scores his 1000th Point

The basketball season for the Berlin boys has been going on in fits and bursts between snow storms. The last week of January was good for the team as they defeated Class D top ranked Germantown.

[private]The team had a strong game on the road against Germantown and was looking forward to playing them on home court. Greg

Depaolis was within 28 points of reaching 1000 points for his high school career. Berlin started out strong and was in the lead after two quarters of play. The second half saw the lead switch back and forth but Berlin took charge in the final minutes and Depaolis came within 2 points of the 1000 mark by sinking his foul shots down to the final seconds.

Berlin traveled to Hudson to play Hawthorn Valley on January 28.  The team had no trouble coming up with their 8th win of the season bring their record to 8-5 overall.  Greg Depaolis scored his 1000th  point with 6:02 remaining in the First quarter. He was the game’s top scorer with 27 points, 10 rebounds , and 5 assists.
