Hoosick Planning Board Action – Brimmer Farm Subdivision Approved

February 26, 2015 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

The Town of Hoosick Planning Board meeting began on Monday, February 23, with a Public Hearing on the Brimmer Farm re-subdivision of the four lot major subdivision. Property owner and Board Chairman Jim Dunigan recused himself from the Board. [private]Bill Johnston represented Dunigan and reviewed the Brimmer Farm plan with the four remaining members of the Board in attendance. The plan is to separate 13 acres from a 50 acre lot in the four lot subdivision. The Board agreed to leave the Public Hearing open. No one spoke for or against the plan.

Dunigan returned to the Board. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance. The December minutes were approved. The meeting in January was cancelled because of bad weather.

Later in the meeting Dunigan again recused himself and Johnston addressed the Board, which closed the Public Hearing. In December the Board reviewed the environmental impact form and found there were no issues with the planned four lot major subdivision on Route 22 and declared the application complete. The Board waived a final public hearing and approved the plan, with the re-sudivision.

Pine Valley Road Property

Carl Cipperly addressed the Board regarding a boundary line adjustment to his property on lower Pine Valley Road. He requested a change to the boundary line reducing his land by two and a half acres. That property will be sold to an adjoining neighbor. He then intends to sell the remainder of the 105 acres as one piece.

The Board approved the boundary line adjustment.

The next Planning Board meeting will be on Monday, March 16 at 7:30 pm.[/private]
