Kiwanis International Is 100 Years Old

Kiwanis International has been serving the children of the world for 100 years and the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club is going to be 87 this year! To celebrate their 87 years of serving the local area, the Kiwanis Club is inviting new members to join them. The more members, the more service they can offer. [private]In addition to the Albany Med. Pediatric Trauma wing, their four year college scholarship for HFCS students, their Key Club, K-Kids Club, Senior Citizen Projects and assisting with the recreation centers and local clubs, the Hoosick Falls Club will be holding the following events in the next two months;

Free Ice Skating for all families on Saturday, February 14 from 1 to 4 pm at the Weir-Reynolds Rink. Free rentals, skating, prizes, hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Just show up at the rink and join the free fun!!

Basket Bingo at the Moose Club in Bennington on Saturday, March 21 starting at 2 pm. This is a fundraiser to assist with the cost of transportation and daily expenses for Richard “Dick” Martin that became ill and paralyzed while attending a family wedding in Florida. He has been unable to return home. Call Wendy at 518-429-1646 or Gale at 518-686-4600

Autism Walk will be held at the HAYC3 Armory on Saturday, April 25 from 9 am to 3 pm. There will be an easy two mile walk, get your sponsors lined up! Also, inside will be vendors, tag sales, food and an event by the Autism Association. All money stays local. You can call Natalie at 518-203-8474 for forms and sign-up sheets.[/private]
