Panther Boys Basketball Gets Dominating Win Over Hoosic Valley

The Panther boys basketball team held the Hoosic Valley Indians to three points in the second quarter and went on to win 65 – 40 last Friday evening.

The Indians hung with the Panthers through the first quarter, which ended with a 17 – 12 score. From there, the Panthers dominated for the remainder of the first half. Getting out to a halftime advantage of 32 – 15, the Panthers pulled away for the remainder of the game.

Connor McCart led the scoring with 14 points. Will Bradley added 12 and Andrew Hoag chipped in 10 points. Hoosic Valley’s John Rooney, averaging about 30 points per game, was held to 21.

This Friday, February 6, the Panthers head over to (6 – 4, 10 – 5) Stillwater. Monday, February 9, the number one team in all classes in Section II,  (12- 0) Green Tech, will visit HFCS. . Wednesday, February 11, Greenwich will visit HFCS for a rematch of what was a very exciting first game. The regular season will conclude on Friday, February 13, when Granville visits.
