$1,000 Raised For Shriners Hospitals

March 5, 2015 By eastwickpress

Members of Airoc Court No. 42 Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America put on their second annual Lasagna Dinner at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Berlin on Sunday, March 1. Thanks to the many food donations and attendees, the group raised $1,000 to benefit the Shriners Hospital in Springfield, MA and the Shriners Burn Unit in Boston, MA. Though the Shriners Hospitals accept insurance, there is never any cost for children treated in their hospitals across the country and the world. Airoc Court No. 42, founded in the 1940s, has members in New York and Vermont. Those working at the Dinner Sunday were (left to right) Carol Yerg of Petersburgh, Marilyn Kleiner of Williamstown, MA, Susan Eddy of Buskirk, Sue O’Neil of Berlin, Sharon Clairmont of Eagle Bridge, Marcia Trask of Grafton and Pat Shuhart of Cherry Plain.
