Events At The New Lebanon Library

The New Lebanon Library announces the following March events. All of these events are free and will take place at the library which is at 550 State Route 20. New Lebanon, NY. Phone is (518) 794-8844.

March 11, 18, 25 (Wednesdays) – Kid’s Stuff

Small Wonders Storytime – 10 am. Songs, movement activities and age-appropriate stories for our younger patrons and their caregivers. For toddlers up to 35 months.

March 11, 18, 25 (Wednesdays) – Kid’s Stuff

Preschool Story Hour – 11 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs, and movement activities. For 35 months to 5 yrs.

March 10, 24 – Film

Oscar Film Series – 6:30 pm. Free screening of one of this years Best Picture nominees. Call for title.

March 6 – Music

Coffeehouse Night with Linda Worster – 6 pm. An evening of acoustic music with this Berkshire favorite. Donations for the performer appreciated.

March 9, 23 (every other Monday) – Community

Study the Constitution – 7 pm. Bi-weekly discussion group focusing on the study of the Constitution. Interested participants should bring their questions and be ready to share their opinions.

March 12 – Film

Afternoon Movie for Kids – 1 pm. Join us for a screening of the current film suitable for the whole family. Call for title.

March 13 – Music

The Ladies’ Auxiliary Ukulele Orchestra – 7 pm. Berkshire musicians Bernice Lewis and Berni McMahon as well as surprise guests perform ukulele music ranging from Mozart to Radiohead. Donations for the performers appreciated.

March 17, 18 – Art

Learn to Draw Still Life – 7 pm. Two part workshop in which participants will explore the techniques and methods used in creating still life and will work from a single subject supplied by the instructor. Participants should bring their own pencil, charcoal, oil pastel or other medium (no paint, please) and also should supply their own drawing paper.

March 19 – Crafts

Family Crafts Night – 6:30 pm. Join us and make your own duct tape catchall. All materials provided. For ages 5 and up.

March 20 – Music

Robin O’Herin in concert– 6:30 pm. A historically rich, interactive concert that includes original and traditional American music that explores the music of the Delta and Piedmont regions of the South. Donations for the performer appreciated.

March 26 – Crafts

Adult Crafts Night – 6:30 pm. Join us and make a decoupage bracelent. All materials provided. For adults and teens.

March 27 – Film

Family Movie Night – 6:30 pm. Join us for a screening of a current film suitable for the whole family. Call for title.

March 28 – Kid’s Stuff

Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call to register.

March 31 – Kid’s Stuff

Block Party: Legos in the Library! – 4 to 5:30 pm. Lego club for kids. We provide the Legos and will display all creations until the next club.
