HAYC3’s Parasol Project To Benefit Community Art Program

March 27, 2015 By eastwickpress

On March 8, HAYC3 installed 33 hand painted parasols as part of The Parasol Project. Parasols, painted and decorated by local artists, are on display until May 16 — suspended from the ceiling of The Perry Room at the HAYC3 Armory, 80 Church Street, Hoosick Falls.

[private]“The shape of the parasols may have tried to challenge our artists guild members, but without hesitation they brought their creative ideas to life for this unique collection,” noted HAYC3 Executive Director Aelish Nealon.  “And once again, our community encouraged HAYC3 to auction these pieces of artwork to benefit HAYC3’s many community programs and events.”

The silent auction is taking place now and will run until Hoosical Furniture, a HAYC3 sponsored event to be held on May 16. Auction information and bidding forms can be found at hayc3.org/artist-guild or by calling HAYC3 at 518-686-9050. The minimum bid for each parasol is $25.

For more information, please call HAYC3 or visit the website at hayc3.org.

Silent Auction bids on the imaginative parasols gracing the Armory will be accepted until May 16. Bid early and bid often! Photo submitted by Aelish Nealon.
