Hoosick Falls Celebrates St. Patricks Day With Parade And Events

March 19, 2015 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

The weather in Hoosick Falls on Saturday was not the worst it has ever been, nor the best is has ever been, for the Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The sky was overcast with just a drizzle coming down. The temperature was chilly, but not cold. The spirit was there, however, even if half the Town was headed to the HFCS girls and boys basketball games. The parade was made up of cheerful floats and great bands.

[private]People driving through Hoosick Falls an hour after the parade would think it was just another sleepy Saturday in the Village. However, inside every venue, the HAYC3 Armory, the Polish Hall, the Eagles Club, the Sandbar, Brown’s Brewery and Man of Kent, crowds of people were enjoying music and food and drink and enjoying the day, right into late evening. The Albany Trolley was on hand to take folks from place to place and taxi service was provided to get revelers home safely. It was a fun day!
