Hoosick Planning Board

Rousseau Simple Subdivision

by Bea Peterson

Brian Rousseau appeared before the Planning Board on behalf of his son Nathan who owns property on LeBarron Road. In September 2014 the Board approved a Family Subdivision with Brian and Mariea receiving 3.7 acres of Nathan’s property. The Board approved the Family Subdivision.

[private]However, for various reasons, including a new survey that took considerable time, the Rousseaus did not file the paperwork with Rensselaer County within the required 90 days. Hence, Rousseau’s appearance before the Board Monday evening. He needed to have the map and paperwork re-approved and re-stamped. There was also a change in the boundary line since the latest survey showed Brian to have 3.5 acres and not 3.7.

After some discussion because the Family Subdivision law no longer exists, the property was declared a Simple Subdivision and approved.

As that was the only order of business for the evening, Board members discussed the changes in the Zoning and Planning regulations and agreed to discuss the subject further at the next Planning Board meeting.[/private]
