Hoosick Falls – James Bryce Wilson, 83, longtime resident of Stony Brook, Long Island, NY died on March 9, 2015 at The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY, following a severe stroke in January 2015.
[private]He was born on August 5, 1931 in Bardwell, KY, one of thirteen children. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. After graduating from Purdue University in 1961. Jim married Marie Rinaldi in Hartford, CT in 1963 and they had three children. Marie predeceased him from Alzheimer’s disease in 2010 .
Jim worked as a aerospace engineer specializing in liquid systems on a myriad of aircraft, including the Boeing 747, F-14 Tomcat, SR-71 Blackbird, C-130 Hercules and the space shuttle.
Jim is survived by his children Andrea Wilson of London, England, Steven Wilson and wife Jan Wysocki of New York City, Rebecca Rogers and husband Dene of Melbourne, Australia and beloved grandchildren, Alden and Lea Wilson and Isabella and Ava Rogers.
A memorial service will be held on Long Island at a later date at the convenience of the family. Jim’s family wishes to thank and recognize the staff at The Center for the compassionate care given to Jim during his short stay there.[/private]
