The Berlin Varsity Softball Team defeated Doane Stuart April 13 by a score of 21 to 6. The game was closer than the final score made it look. [private] Berlin led 7 to 5 after 3 innings, when they erupted for 5 hits in a row to break open a close game.
Brittney Gilbert pitched 3 innings, striking out 5, and Amanda Despart finished the game pitching, striking out 3 and getting 4 hits.
Haley Maxon had a triple and 3 RBIs and Alyssa Bierwirth had 3 hits in the win. [/private]
