“Love Your Village” Spring Clean-up Day Organized by HAYC3

April 2, 2015 By eastwickpress

Join the many other community members on May 2 between 9 am and noon and volunteer to help do some spring-cleaning in Hoosick Falls with HAYC3.

[private]On your mark, get set, go get your cleaning team together! Or come on your own. Everyone is encouraged to help. This annual project attracts more than 150 individuals, groups, churches, businesses and organizations each year.  Besides giving the village a spruce up, you get to meet and spend time with others who care about their community. And it feels good to do something good. Help tidy up and groom parks, flowerbeds, gardens, sidewalks, and other community spaces and get them ready for the warm weather that is coming any day now.

If you know of a public or community organization‚ or space that needs help, please let us know. We will make every attempt to see that it is covered by one of the groups on cleanup day. Each team or group of people will be assigned a specific area to focus on. Meet at the HAYC3 welcome station in Wood Memorial Park at 9 am to get your assignment.

Special thank you to all the local groups who have already volunteered: St. Gobain, St. Mary’s Academy, Immaculate Conception Church, Kiwanis, HFCS National Honor Society, True Value, All Saints Church, HAYC3 Kids Gardening Club, and HFCS Girl’s Lacrosse team.

Crews of Hoosick Falls High School students participated in Sping Clean-Up last year. This particular crew worked hard to get the Children’s Garden ready for planting.
