Three’s Harmony, Brown’s Brewery Help Derby Club Raise Funds For Good Works

May 21, 2015 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson

It was the night before the Kentucky Derby and Brown’s Brewery was jumping for the Annual Derby Club pre-race Party. The Club was also celebrating its 80th Anniversary.

This is the Club’s biggest event and fund raiser, and it included a Silent Auction, a 50/50 raffle, Kentucky Derby paraphernalia, and a day at the track with Gary Contessa auctioned by Ron Seifert. There were fancy Derby hats and great music was provided by local favorite Three’s Harmony. All in all, it was a terrific celebration to honor a Club that began with a bet on the Derby 80 years ago and continues  supporting countless community projects to this day.
