Petersburgh resident Cecilia Guntner has been cultivating flower beds around the Town Buildings for many years. She started with the islands created when the State repaved Route 2 many years ago and now has about eight garden areas that she takes care of. [private]There are three islands, two flower beds along the side of the PVMCC, one at the library, one at the entrance to the Town Hall and a Hosta garden, also by the Town Hall.
This year Elhannon Nursery in North Petersburgh donated a whole bunch of plants and flowers for Cecilia to plant in these gardens. Here, she is planting three different kinds of Coral Bells, supplied by Elhannon.
