A severe thunderstorm blasted through the Town of Hoosick late Tuesday afternoon, downing trees on houses, roads and cars. The 20 minute storm brought torrential downpours and strong winds. Two trees fell in the village, one crushing a porch and hitting a car on Redmond Street. At the other location on McCaffrey Street, several large parts of two different trees fell across a lawn and hit a home, doing minimal damage.
