Wickenden Family Builds A Little Library, Free For All

June 4, 2015 By eastwickpress

Book lovers unite! HAYC3 is now operating a “Little Free Library” in the HAYC3 Armory at 80 Church Street in Hoosick Falls. The library, which opened  on June 1, is a community-based book exchange where readers of any and all ages are free to donate and take a book with no obligation to return! It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a “Little Free Library” is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. You can too!

Help improve literacy and promote reading by making a book donation – the door to the Little Library is always open! The Little Free Library is a world-wide movement; for more information, visit www.littlefreelibrary.org.

Special thank you to Ken, Sam and Andy Wickenden for building the Little Library for our community!

For more information call HAYC3 at 518-686-9050 or visit the HAYC3 website,  www.hayc3.org.

Let the lending begin! Check out the new “Little Free Library” at the Armory in Hoosick Falls. The Wickenden family built the book box, and anyone can use it.
