The Petersburgh Town Board convened on Monday evening July 13 to open the bids from contractors offering to build the new Broken Wheel Bridge. There were seven bids ranging [private]from $1,642,570 to $1,156,055. The apparent low bidder was Bette & Cring Construction Group. The Town’s construction manager, GPI, will review the bids this week and send a report back to the Town with recommendation on which to accept. The Town Board expects to act on this at its regular meeting next Monday July 20.
Construction on the bridge is expected to begin sometime this fall, and completion is planned by August 2016 at the latest.[/private]
