Carol D. Sicley

D. Sicley, 63, died at her home in Turners Falls, Mass., on June 26, 2015. She was born on June 28, 1951 in Pittsfield, Mass. Carol was the daughter of Allen E. Sicley, Sr. and Marion Palmer Sicley of Stephentown, NY.

O-Web-SicleyCarol graduated from Berlin Central School in 1969. She worked as a secretary before attending Hudson Valley Community College, where she earned an A.S. in 1976. She worked as a medical assistant for a cardiologist in Troy, NY and later in Greenfield, MA. She was most recently employed by Franklin County Home Care in Greenfield, MA.

She enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks, visiting her hometown of Stephentown, NY and in her younger years she was an avid bowler and loved to camp out with her daughter Marissa.

Carol is survived by her parents, her daughter Marissa S. Sicley-Rogers and son-in-law Marc Rogers of Chicopee, MA. She is also survived by siblings Allen E. Sicley, Jr. of Worth, NY, David L. Sicley of Merrimack, NH, Linda J. Carey of East Greenbush, NY, and Donna A. McMartin of Cheshire, MA, as well as extended family and her dear friend Donald Jordan of Turners Falls.

Calling hours will be Monday July 6 from 5 to 7 pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home in Kostanski Square in Turners Falls, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Kostanski Funeral Home. Sympathy messages available at www.kostanskifuneralhome.com.
