Hoosick Falls – Donald J. Morin 78, passed away on Monday July 6, at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. He resided on Wilder Avenue with his wife Gail (Myers) Morin.
Don was born on November 4, 1936 in Bennington, Vermont and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls. He was formerly employed at Chem Fab in Bennington. Don liked to play golf, hunt and fish. He also enjoyed his trips with his wife to Las Vegas and Turning Stone Casino. He was a member of the Hoosick Federal Credit Union Board and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors other than his wife Gail include his aunt Mary Miller of Bennington, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Eugenia (Jennie) Govone and a brother George Morin. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday July 10 at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends called at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Junior Golf Program at the Hoosick Falls Country Club or the Karen and Molly McGovern Memorial Fund through the Mahar Funeral Home.
