Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and Education in Cambridge, New York, announces its annual Free Shakespeare in the Park tour throughout Washington County and beyond. This weekend’s performance is at Wood Memorial Park in Hoosick Falls, Saturday, July 25 at 7 pm.
[private]A summer tradition returns. In this hilarious romantic comedy, four young men swear off partying and women in order to devote themselves entirely to study – until four beautiful young women arrive in their backyard.
With some of Shakespeare’s richest and wittiest word play, Love’s Labour’s Lost is the perfect summer treat, as a whole cadre of crazy characters fall in love and find that winning each other’s hearts takes more than just words.
Set in Bryant Park during NY Fashion Week in the 1980s, this bubbly production will feature some of the ‘80’s brightest pop music and keep you laughing.
The performance is open to the public; admission is free.
“Experiencing Shakespeare in these gorgeous settings will be an extraordinary experience. Audiences can bring a picnic dinner and revel in this wonderful evening and Shakespeare’s wonderful words.” – David Snider, Executive and Artistic Director, Hubbard Hall.[/private]
