July 30, 2015 By eastwickpress

Parade Line-Up

August 8 is the day when the Town of Hoosick officially welcomes home and honors our Vietnam Veterans. Are you in?

Do you know someone who served during the Vietnam Era – a family member, friend, co-worker? Why not make a poster thanking them for their service? You can walk in the parade with it or display it along the route. You could even prepare a float of some sort if you’re feeling really motivated. Decorate a bike. Let those creative juices flow.

Parade line up is at 9:15 am, with kick-off promptly at 10 am. We will follow the traditional Memorial Day route and stop briefly at the Peace Pole in front of the H.F. Fire Department to pay tribute to all Vietnam Veterans who were Killed in Action, Missing in Action or Prisoners of War.

Parade Line-up

Patriot Guard Riders will line up on Eberle Way, with the Grand and Honorary Grand Marshalls on Main Street just the other side of Eberle Way in front of St. Mark’s. Division 1-4 will line up behind them sequentially. If you need assistance the day of, stop at the registration desk by the Veterans Memorial and we’ll direct you.

All Vietnam Veterans and family members who are representing deceased veterans should stop in between 8 and 9 am to register so we can check you in and give you further instructions.
