The River Street Bridge has been under construction since early summer and was originally expected to be completed before the school year begins. Since school starts on September 8, and the bridge will not be finished, the Hoosick Falls Central School District has built in a four minute delay on that bus route to compensate. [private]

HFCS Superintendent Ken Facin said that there were no viable alternate routes that weren’t dangerous for the students’ safety. He said he expects the bridge to be finished by the end of September and that the District will “get through it with minimal pain.” [/private]
