Starting in mid-August, local artists will begin to paint existing benches from around the village of Hoosick Falls.
[private]Benches from around the community will be transported to The Perry Room at the HAYC3 Armory, where some of our local artists will then set up individual paint stations. Using their creative freedom, artists will paint local scenes from the surrounding area on the benches.
“The existing benches already foster community-focused public spaces,” said HAYC3 Executive Director Aelish Nealon. “Now, with the help of local artists’ creativity, the benches will be inspired by natural scenery and architectural designs unique to the Hoosick Falls area.”
The benches will be revealed on Friday, September 25 at 6 pm in the Armory as part of HAYC3’s Hullabaloo Music & Art Festival. The unveiling will be free and open to the public. The following day, benches will be returned to their original locations throughout the community.
