2015-2016 Berlin HS Pizza Night Fundraiser

October 15, 2015 By eastwickpress

This year’s pizza night fundraiser benefits Berlin students that will be traveling to Costa Rica in April. Besides learning about the history of Costa Rica and its capital San José, students, faculty, and a couple of parents will be spending the week learning about coffee plantations, rainforests, EARTH University, and sustainable farming. [private]The trip is being led by high school Spanish teacher Karen Day and AP Environmental Sciences teacher Nicholas Toole. In order to help families with the cost of the trip we host a monthly Pizza Night fundraiser where you can purchase hot, fresh pizzas at Berlin MS/HS. Our next pizza night is Friday, October 23 and from 4 to 7 pm.

Students, parents, and teachers will be working together to make hot, fresh pies for Eat-In or Take Out. Pies start out at $8 each with Red Sauce or Garlic Olive Oil and toppings are $1 each. Toppings include: pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, onions, jalapeños, pineapple and broccoli. This month’s specialty pie is Taco Pie for $10.  To order online, up until 2:30 on Friday, e-mail Karen Day at kday@berlincentral.org  or to order by phone (after 2:30 pm on Friday) call 658-2515 ext. 1040.  Unfortunately last month there was an issue with the phone in the kitchen so please take note of the new phone extension.[/private]
