October 22, 2015 By eastwickpress

[private]The 2015 “Fill the Bus” campaign was even more successful than last year. [private]H-Fill the Bus-on the bus-wApproximately 1,944 pieces (boxes, cans, etc. of food) were brought to the HACA Food Pantry as well as $270 in cash donations. Students in all grades helped to fill the bus and Transportation Supervisor Joe Stellar drove it to the Pantry. The football team and the Girl Scouts unloaded the bags and boxes, sorted the items and stocked the pantry shelves, all in about two hours. “The HFCS Student Council really made this happen. They did a great job and deserve a huge thank you. It’s so wonderful the school and the community pitch in together to make the drive such a success,” said Joyce Brewer, President of HACA’s Board of Directors and Girl Scout Leader.
