Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site Welcomes David Pitlyk

David Pitlyk is the new Historic Site Assistant for Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site in Walloomsac.

Pitlyk received a bachelor’s degree in history, and a master’s degree in secondary education from SUNY, Albany.  Before joining the Battlefield, Pitlyk worked on the USS Slater in Albany as head of interpretive programs.

An archeology study is starting up at the Battlefield this fall.  And the site is attracting more attention from tourism, history and educational partners.  For more information on programs and projects at Bennington Battlefield, please contact David Pitlyk at David.Pitlyk@parks.ny.gov or (518) 279-1155.[/private]
