Hearing no new business at its regular meeting on Thursday October 22, the Berlin Planning Board moved to a scheduled public hearing on a proposed five acre sub division presented by Charles Brand. [private]He is asking to carve out the land from his original 50 acre plot on Dyken Pond Rd. for his daughter Eden. Ms. Brand plans to build a home on the property next to her parents and brother. The only comment came from a neighbor, Jason Bink, who wondered what the sub division was for. When Mr. Brand explained why, he had no further concerns. The Board then approved the request by a five to nothing vote.
The Board also received a letter of interest from Chris Lecce for the open alternate board position. The Berlin native cited his work and military history and his desire to serve the town. The Board voted unanimously to send his name to the Town Board for consideration at their next meeting. The Town Board must make the appointment.[/private]
