Calling All Trivia Buffs For A Veterans’ Day Event

October 29, 2015 By eastwickpress

You say you love trivia, huh? Then grab 5 or 6 team members (including at least 1 Veteran) and come on out and show your stuff!

On Saturday, November 14, Voice of a Vet will be sponsoring a Veterans’ Day Trivia Contest. The event will take place at Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church, 484 Hill Road.

[private]A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 10 am and the contest will begin promptly at 11 am (please note new time). Winners will get bragging rights and their name on a perpetual trophy.

Trivia teams will be made up of 5-7 players. Each team must have at least 1 Veteran, who must be the designated spokesperson. If you can’t find a Vet to play, we’ll provide one for you. Cost is $15 per team. Categories have not been finalized, but will include 5 of the following: New York and Local History, Military, Landmarks, Local Celebrities, Movies/TV Shows, and Sports.

To reserve your spot, contact Tom McMartin (686-5075) or Gail Smith (686-9888) before November 6.

The event is open to the public, especially Veterans, as we would like to recognize them that day. Community members are encouraged to invite a Veteran to come out and enjoy the morning with them.

We’ve been looking forward to doing this for a long time, so we are very excited to finally have it scheduled.

R.S.V.P. to Gail is appreciated, but not necessary. Hope to see you there. [/private]
