The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (formerly Hoosick Falls Health Center) Foundation presents Hoosick Hootenanny! Join the celebration of local flavors on October 17 from 3 to 8 pm at the Town of Hoosick Park. The Hootenanny will feature a local, honest ingredient meal, craft beer, wine, cider, music, tastings and products found in our own backyard. With local sponsors Tiashoke Farm of Buskirk, Brown’s Brewing Co. of Walloomsac and Troy, and Adirondack Winery of Lake George, attendees are sure to have a delicious time and discover extraordinary local products.
[private]The gourmet farm-to-table meal will include: braised Tiashoke Farm beef (Buskirk), mac n’ cheese made from Wheatfields Restaurant’s fresh pasta (Clifton Park and Saratoga Springs) and Battenkill Creamery milk (Salem) stuffed in a Moses Farm (Eagle Bridge) fresh pepper, coleslaw made with produce from Happenchance Organic Farm (White Creek) and Slack Hollow Farm (Argyle) homemade potato chips using Moses Farm’s own potatoes and apple cider donuts made by Weeb’s Fish Fry (Hoosick Falls) using local cider.
Enjoy beverages from Brown’s Brewery, Adirondack Winery and Perry’s Orchard throughout the event. Be entertained with music from the North and South Dakotas, Carryin’ On and Together Again. Join special guest, the Vermont Hard Cider Company for a tasting of their Wood Chuck Hard Cider’s two new flavors and sample Gringo Jack’s renowned chips and salsa.
