Nassau Supervisor David Fleming on October 2 hosted a large gathering of protesters on the steps of the Nassau Town Hall, asking State and Federal officials to take action to stop the construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline through Rensselaer County and a large compressor station in a residential area of Nassau near the Sand Lake and Schodack borders.

Fleming described the pipeline project as one that offers “no benefits and tremendous risks,” and he thanked all those who have expressed concern for those living near the proposed pipeline and the proposed compressor station.[/private]
